What to wear during a Tanzania Safari

What To Pack

Neutral-colored clothing:

Wear neutral colors such as khaki, brown, or green to blend in with the natural surroundings. Avoid bright colours, as they may attract unwanted attention from wildlife like red.

Lightweight and breathable clothing:

Tanzania can be quite hot, so wear lightweight and breathable fabrics like cotton. Long sleeves and pants can also protect you from the sun and mosquitoes.

Comfortable closed-toe shoes:

Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes suitable for walking and protection. Sneakers or hiking boots are good choices, especially if you plan on participating in walking safaris.

A wide-brimmed hat:

Protect yourself from the sun with a wide-brimmed hat. This will provide shade for your face and neck.

Sunglasses:

Bring sunglasses to shield your eyes from the sun and glare.

A light jacket or sweater:

Binoculars and a camera:

Don’t forget to bring binoculars and a camera with a good zoom lens to capture the incredible wildlife. Consider a dustproof cover for your camera to protect it from dusty conditions.

Insect repellent:

Bring insect repellent to protect yourself from mosquitoes and other insects. It’s also a good idea to wear long sleeves and pants in the evenings, when mosquitoes are most active.

Sunscreen:
