Walking in the evening? 

Is it safe? Walking in the evening is safe but when you have a local person with you and make sure you don’t have any expensive stuff with you such as jewellery, alot of money or anything it might attract a thief to rob you. 

For those who want to walk at night i don’t recommend it mostly from 9 pm is not great even most locals do not walk ata that time unless you have other means of transport like cars etc.

Using public transport?

Is it okay and Safe? Yes it is safe to share a public transport with the locals you just have to ask where can you get a public transport and where are you going and the fee of the transport. but make sure your belongings are with you most of public transport have this saying “ABIRIA CHUNGA MZIGO WAKO” means “PASSENGERS TAKE CARE OF YOUR BELONGINGS”.
