2024 Wildebeest Migration Luxury package in Tanzania is an exquisite way to witness one of the world’s most spectacular natural phenomena. The Serengeti Wildebeest Migration is one of the most awe-inspiring and iconic wildlife spectacles on Earth. It’s a massive annual movement of millions of wildebeests, zebras, and other herbivores across the vast Serengeti ecosystem, primarily in Tanzania, but also spilling into Kenya’s Maasai Mara Reserve.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
DAY 1 : ARRIVE KILIMANJARO AIRPORT – ARUSHA (DRIVING TIME 1HR 20MIN)
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and proceed to the immigration desk for a visa stamp. Before leaving the desk, make sure your passport is correctly stamped. Outside the airport, you will meet with your safari guide at a sign board with one of your names. Our safari guides have gone through the COVID-19 standard procedure course, and they are all vaccinated. They will make sure they follow all the protocols. Depart the airport and drive to Melia Hotel Arusha for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 : FLIGHT TO NORTHERN SERENGETI (FLIGHT TIME 1HR 30MIN)
To minimize driving time, I will advise that you take a flight from Arusha to the the Northern Serengeti. Why the northern Serengeti? After the heavy rains in April and May, in July the ground begins to dry again, and the availability of green grass and water becomes a problem. Large herds of wildebeests, accompanied by zebras begin to search for water and green grass. At this time of the year, you will find most of them in the Grumenti and Mara river areas. Travelling between mid-July and October gives you a chance to see the river crossing. Imagine seeing thousands of wildebeest singing a solidarity song while crossing the river.
The flight will depart Arusha at 9:00 am and arrive in Serengeti at 11:00 am. In Serengeti, you will find your guide already waiting for you eagerly to show you the beauty of Tanzania. He will receive you and continue with the game drive towards the hotel for lunch. After lunch and a little rest, you will go again for a game drive in the afternoon. You will return for dinner and overnight at Mara under canvas.

DAY 3 : NORTHERN SERENGETI
After breakfast, have a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park. Remember, you can always discuss with your safari guide the day-to-day program if you want to depart the hotel with a packed lunch or have a hot lunch in the hotel. Feel free; we are flexible.
Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world. Unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value, it has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation, and fauna have barely changed in the past million years. Early man himself made an appearance in Olduvai Gorge about two million years ago. Some patterns of life, death, adaptation and migration are as old as the hills themselves: all meals and overnight at Mara under canvas for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: CENTRAL SERENGETI
After breakfast, depart with packed lunch for morning game drive in the northern Serengeti and proceed with game drive to Central Serengeti. After lunch proceed with game drive exploring this beautiful park with an award of being the best National Park in Africa. Arrive at Kubukubu Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: SERENGETI – NGORONGORO ( DRIVE TIME 3 HRS)
It is time to say goodbye again to the lodge staff, depart with packed lunch for morning game drive then proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. Arrive late afternoon, relax before dinner. All meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Ngorongoro Serena Lodge is located on the crater rim with very beautiful view of the crater, Enjoy the view!
Today you can choose to stop at Olduvai George as well or Masai bomma, Let me know if you want to explore the area. Olduvai George is one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world; it has proven invaluable in furthering understanding of early human evolution.

Overnight: Ngorongoro Serena Lodge
DAY 6: NGORONGORO CRATER THEN TARANGIRE(DRIVE TIME 2HRS 30 MIN)
The crater is very beautiful, and animals are more active early in the morning. You can decide to have breakfast at the hotel or depart with a packed breakfast and lunch. Always discuss this with your safari guide. Today you will descend into the crater some 600 meters to experience the true spirit of Africa, the Africa of bygone days when you explore the crater as the permanent home of wildlife population, long regarded as Africa’s “Garden of Eden”. From the comfort of your 4 x 4 vehicle crafted exclusively for game viewing will an opportunity to spot the Big Five – Elephant, buffalo, leopard, black mane lion and the rare black rhino as well as hyenas, jackals, flamingos and the yawning hippos. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch in the heart of this ancient volcanic crater close to the hippo pool. Early evening drive to Maramboi Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Maramboi is located close to lake Manyara, a beautiful place to stay as harmless animals like zebras, warthogs, wildebeest and many are all the time around the lodge eating grass. You will like the place.

Day 7: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park with a packed lunch. The park is beautiful, with a lot of baobab trees and elephants. Have full day game drive in the park, enjoy your lunch at the picnic site, in the evening, drive back to Maramboi Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8: DEPART
Drive back to Arusha then connect your flight to Zanzibar at 1300hrs. Kindly let me know if you want us to take care of Zanzibar as well. This flight is not included but we will include if you choose us to do so.
