Embark on an extraordinary 12-day Kenya and Tanzania safari, immersing yourself in the diverse landscapes, abundant wildlife, and vibrant cultures of East Africa. This adventure will take you through iconic national parks and reserves, providing unforgettable wildlife encounters and breathtaking scenery.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: ARRIVE NAIROBI

Arrive Nairobi, Jomo Kenyatta international airport, meet your safari guide and proceed to Landmark Hotel for overnight. (Bed & breakfast)

Day 2 : NAIROBI TO LAKE NAIVASHA (approximately 2.5 hours driving)

Pick from your Nairobi hotel by your driver guide and after briefing drive to Lake Naivasha, the drive along the rift valley escarpment will give a fantastic panoramic view of the valley expanse below. Here your guide will show you the dormant and extinct mountains. After the short break descend into the floor of the valley and check into your hotel. Enjoy an after-lunch boat ride and visit of crescent Island. Late afternoon drive to the nearby Hells gate park for a leisurely bike ride or walk in the park (bike hire at extra cost of $ 15 per person) Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight at CRESCENT CAMP
(full board).

Day 3 : LAKE NAIVASHA TO MASAI MARA (Approximately 4 hours driving)

After breakfast, check-out and drive to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, so named to mean the “spotted plains” in the Maa language. This is home to the greatest concentration of large mammals and is widely recognized as Africa’s ultimate wildlife reserve and famous for its annual migration of wildebeest. Arrive for lunch at the camp and later depart for an evening game viewing drive until sunset in this spectacular place of breathtaking sceneries, never-ending plains and the most abundant variety of wildlife remaining anywhere in the world. The landscape is made up of rolling savannahs dotted with patchy shrubs and bush thickets. All meals and overnight at BASECAMP ADVENTURE (full board)

Day 4 : MASAI MARA

Wake up at dawn to the natural sounds of Mara’s birdlife. After your coffee/tea, you will meet your guide ready to take you for your guided walking safari. Our highly skilled and qualified guides will help you search for the prolific wildlife of Mara, sharing their knowledge of the flora and fauna with you as you explore. Return to camp later in the morning for a hearty breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure. Set off on another game drive in the afternoon, stopping for sunset sundowners before returning to camp as darkness descends for a chance to see nocturnal species. At camp savour a delicious meal in the restaurant before falling asleep to the sounds of the African night. All meals and overnight at BASECAMP ADVENTURE (full board)

Day 5 : MASAI MARA TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK (NORTH) (Approximately 3 hours driving)

With a packed lunch. Your guide will be waiting for you at the Isebania border, ready to show you the beauty of the Great Serengeti National Park. After clearing your immigrations and customs formalities, you will drive through the vast Serengeti plains, spotting animals as you drive by, stopping here and there for some exciting actions and great pictures. You will arrive at your camp in the late evening, where a hot shower awaits you Dinner and overnight at MARA HERITAGE CAMP.

Day 6 : NORTHERN SERENGETI

With the concentration of river crossing, have full day game drive in the northern Serengeti. Remember with crossing you can also still see a lot of all other animals found in the Serengeti eco system. More than 1 million wildebeest, accompanied by hundreds of thousands of Thomson gazelles and zebras, turn each year clockwise on the great journey through the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara. Predators such as lions, cheetahs and hyenas are all the time found near the herds. In the evening drive back to MARA HERITAGE Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 : CENTRAL SERENGETI

Good morning in the Serengeti. Did you hear roar lions last night? And the hyenas laugh? This is wild Tanzania. Fortify yourself at breakfast, because your exciting game drive continues. After exploring the north now, it is time to depart for the central Serengeti. With luck you can experience a big group of wildebeest in central Serengeti as well. Enjoy game drive in the endless plain and late evening drive to PAMOJA SERENGETI CAMP for dinner and overnight (full board0

Day 8 : SERENGETI -­‐ NGORONGORO CRATER (approximately 3 hours driving)

After breakfast collect your packed lunch and enjoy the last morning in Serengeti National Park, as you drive out to the famous Ngorongoro crater, stopping at the famous Olduvai Gorge, enjoy your packed lunch at the site and later, drive to your camp nestled on the crater rim for dinner and overnight at ANG’ATA TENTED CAMP (full board).

 

Day 9 : NGORONGORO CRATER THEN TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK (Approximately 2.5 hrs. driving)

Crater is very beautiful and animals are more active early in the morning. Today you will descend into the crater some 600 meters to experience the true spirit of Africa, the Africa of bygone days when you explore the crater as permanent home of wildlife population, long regarded as Africa’s “Garden of Eden”. From the comfort of your 4 x 4 vehicle crafted exclusively for game viewing will give an opportunity to spot Big five – Elephant, buffalo, leopard, black mane lion and the rare black rhino as well as hyenas, jackals, flamingos and the yawning hippos. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch in the heart of this ancient volcanic crater close to the hippo pool. Early evening drive to Lake Burunge Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight. (Full board).

Day 10 : TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK AND DRIVE BACK TO ARUSHA (Approximately 2 hours driving)

After breakfast, you will have an opportunity to explore Tarangire National Park. If you are a fan of elephants then Tarangire is the place for you. Known as the ‘home of elephants’, Tarangire is famous for holding a large number of elephant herds. It was named after the Tarangire River, which crosses the park. Tarangire is a large park and will need you at least two days to be able to enjoy the complete experience. Enjoy a packed lunch under the shady trees, while enjoying the nature around you
Later this afternoon, you will drive to Arusha for dinner and overnight at HARADALIS HOME (full board)

Day 11 : RELAX

After an exciting safari experience, take this day as a relaxing day, you can decide to visit to local market and explore the African way of shopping, relax at the pool and why not trying a short visit to Cultural Heritage. The day is yours.

Day 12 : DEPARTURE DAY

Today is a day you can wake up as you want, no early mornings. Breakfast is saved and depending on your departure flight, you will be transferred to the airport for departure flight. We hope you had great time traveling with us.
