Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 : Flight from Zanzibar to Northern Serengeti (flight time 1hr 30min)
To minimize driving time, I will advise that you take a flight from Zanzibar to Northern Serengeti. Why northern Serengeti? After the heavy rains in April and May, in July the ground begins to dry again, and availability of green grass and water become a problem, large herds of wildebeests accompanied by zebras begin to search for water and green grass. At this time of the year you will find most of them in the Grumenti and Mara river areas. Travelling between mid-July to end October/early November gives you a chance to see the river crossing. Imagine seeing thousands of wildebeest singing solidarity song while crossing the river.
You arrive in the Serengeti at 11:00am. In Serengeti you will find your guide already waiting for you eagerly to show you the beauty of Tanzania. He will receive you and continue with the game drive towards the hotel for lunch. After lunch and a little rest, you will go again for a game drive in the afternoon. you will return for dinner and overnight at Mara under canvas.

Day 2 : Northern Serengeti
After breakfast, have full day game drive in Serengeti National Park. Remember, you can always discuss with your safari guide the day-to-day program if you want to depart the hotel with a packed lunch or have a hot lunch in the hotel. Feel free; we are flexible. Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world. Unequaled for its natural beauty and scientific value, it has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation, and fauna have barely changed in the past million years. Some patterns of life, death, adaptation and migration are as old as the hills themselves.

Day 3 : Central Serengeti
After breakfast, depart with packed lunch for another game drive in the northern Serengeti and proceed with game drive to Central Serengeti. Stop for your packed lunch in the middle of nowhere, then proceed with game drive exploring this beautiful park, which an award of being the best national park in Africa. Arrive at Signature Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 : Central Serengeti
Today you will have full day of exploring the central Serengeti, and for maximum utilization of time I will advise that you depart the camp with packed lunch. The endless plain of Serengeti will give you a great picture of why Serengeti is the best national park, and you made a great choice to be part of it. All meals and overnight stay at Signature Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 : Serengeti – Ngorongoro (drive time 3 hrs)
It is time to say goodbye to the camp staff, depart with a packed lunch for the morning game drive, and then proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. Arrive late in the afternoon and relax before dinner. All meals and overnight stay at Angata Camp
Today you can choose to stop at Olduvai George as well as Masai Boma. Let me know if you want to explore the area. Olduvai George is one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world; it has proven invaluable in furthering understanding of early human evolution. (extra charges)

Day 6 : Ngorongoro Crater tour
The crater is very beautiful, and animals are more active early in the morning. You can decide to have breakfast at the hotel or depart with a packed breakfast and lunch. Always discuss this with your safari guide. Today you will descend into the crater some 600 meters to experience the true spirit of Africa, the Africa of bygone days when you explore the crater as the permanent home of wildlife population, long regarded as Africa’s “Garden of Eden”. From the comfort of your 4×4 vehicle, crafted exclusively for game viewing, you will give you an opportunity to spot the Big five elephants, buffalo, leopards, black mane lion and the rare black rhino, as well as hyenas, jackals, flamingos and the yawning hippos. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch in the heart of this ancient volcanic crater, close to the hippo pool. Early evening drive to Tarangire Katikati for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 : Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park with packed lunch. The park is beautiful, with a lot of baobab trees and elephants. Have a full-day game drive in the park, enjoy your lunch at the picnic site, and in the evening, drive back to Maramboi Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Full day Tarangire National Park, then to Arusha (2hours drive to Arusha)
After breakfast, depart with a packed lunch for a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park. By now, I hope you have enough beautiful pictures of the big five. Late afternoon, depart the park and drive to Arusha. In Arusha, you will be welcomed at our Haradali home. This will be your home away from home. When we built our home, we realized it is located in a beautiful location, and it would be great if we could share it with our guests. In hotels, you will be saved coffee and the waiter will leave, but in our home, we will talk about everything. Karibu Sana.

Day 9 : Relaxing Day with Arusha Tour
You can gladly visit different sites in Arusha. Using public transport (tuk-tuk), you will be able to experience a coffee tour, see the daily life of a typical person living in Arusha, and visit different historical places where you can learn a bit about the city.
A few of the places you could visit would be the Cultural Heritage, the Snake Park, Maasai Market, the market, the clock tower, and local restaurants where you could have lunch.

Day 10 : Departure
After a memorable stay in the Tanzania, it is finally time to go back home and reminisce about the beautiful experience you had. On this day, you will have breakfast at your own time and start driving back to Arusha and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
